Cadilla CTS Real OEM type site?

hey guys I'm trying to help a friend out and I'm looking for a realoem.com type site for cadillac or GM cars in general. does anyone know if one exists?

he was told he needs a new cat to pass emissions in NH and he was quoted about $1k for the entire job. Anyone have experience with GMs? thanks

Why doesn't he buy a cat that's made for the car and bolt it on himself. Or better yet buy a better car. Like an E30....

call your local GM dealer and ask for a parts quote?

$1k is about right for an installed OEM-grade cat on a new-ish car, FYI

How old is the car? Emission related stuff is covered under a longer warranty.

it's a 2005 CTS. I'm just trying to figure out what his part number would be and then try and find one for him on the cheap.

because he knows as much about cars as I know about baroque classics (none). Just trying to be helpful and see if there's a deal to be had while he's down here in the south where cars don't get emissions tests done.

I was kidding about the E30. Of course....
Newer cars suck that way, good luck.

meh, he left without even asking if I'd gotten an answer. I guess some people just have shitloads of money to pay someone else to do a repair like that.

(He doesn't, according to him saying so, but I guess some people weigh opportunity costs differently)

2005 is still covered under warranty.

epa standards mandate 8 year warranty on emissions.
