Traffic Ticket Spelled My Name Wrong, Still Valid?

I received a stupid citation & my court date is coming up & I dont want to have to go to court, Id rather just pay the stupid fine & go to traffic school, especially if they are just going to tell me that I have to do that anyway when I waste a whole day down there.

The cop spelled my name "Rodick" but my last name is "Rodiek" sooo my question is, can I have it dropped? I know I SHOULD consult an attorney, but I thought Id ask on here if anyone has any experience.

He also described my car as "BLK" when its green, although I know that isnt nearly as significant

Yes you still have to pay it. They don't pay cops for their good spelling.

edit: or in your case, handwriting, since c=e to anyone.

I had a cop write my car up as a 4 door sedan bmw 32 ie... You can fight it in court if you say you never drove that car or even have a car like that. No such car "exists."
