    Work needs to end

    so yet another boring day i need work to hit warp speed so i can get off and jet up valley to pick up some wheels,
    so i ask you desk job people of r3v:

    how do you speed up your day?



    i make calls and stuff but that doesn't speed up time at all....
    browsing craigslist and spending sometime on here helps.
    also my ipod keeps me entertained when not busy.



    but about the wheels, i'll have an update later on my build thread i'm sure there will be upset and high fives.

        when its slow and there is nothing at all for me to do. I catch up on my naps. I cant leave and I have to wait on everyone else to get their work done before I can do mine.

          lol at sleeve,
          i did that a few times but i always woke up in heart attack mode, afraid the owners of the business or my boss would find me sleeping, which my boss did one time, but he just thought i was putting my head down and sick/hungover hahah!

          but yeah i work alone and i leave the door unlocked with all the company cashola and stuff in here so i think sleeping is a bad idea hahah.

            in my line of work you are either buried, and way behind with everyone bitching at you to go faster................................Or sitting around waiting on something to get done so you have something to do. There is rarely any happy medium, and 75% of the time its the former not the latter so you have to take your opportunity to get caught up on sleep when you can.

            FYI my standard week is 6/10's but most of the time it works out to 7/12-14's so you take it when you can get it.

              DAMN! i work 9-5's like 5 days a week, what do you do sleeve?!?! no wonder your on r3v so much ;)
              i would sleep to fuck that hahaha, the last thing i would wanna do if i was not at work is waste my time at home sleeping.... then feeling like im working myself to death.

                Ehhh Right now home on R&R between projects. Was only supposed to be 2-3 weeks has turned into 8 and counting. Permitting and hippies holding shit up mostly permits. I work in the gas fields in PA, building pipelines, and go home for a while between projects.

                      yeah i can imagine man.
                      not to mention the work environment, you guys are welding out there i take it?
                      i just joined a welding class at my CC and man shit is pretty fooking dangerous if you have some mindless dumb working near you, there mistakes can take your life.

                        Nahh I are welding inspector. I keep the welders honest, and the crappy welders dont make it past test in so.

                          my instructor was telling me about nightmares working with mindless people, but he's been in the industry since the 60's or 70's, when safety wasn't really thought about haha

                            I have so much to do, I don't even have to think about it. When I need a break, I go out back and sit at a picnic table and post on r3v via iPhone. When work slows down (lol) I disappear. Usually just hook my A-Liner up and go somewhere.
