Half.com is the best. Most reliable too.

I never bought a book after my sophomore year, and I was a science major ($X,000 in books)
It's not all that convenient, but check if your professor places any in the library on reserve. Almost all of mine did. I'd just go to the library to use them... forced me to focus during that time as well.

This...i'd also find someone in your class to go half on books. It gave me an excuse to hit up the ladies and save a ton of money during my college "career" :)

also remember that some books are useful after you graduate as well so sometimes it makes sense to pay for a good quality book that will last
