i put an ad on cl for a roommate and, of course, i got bombed with "foreign " people moving to the US from england and china where they are doing humanitarian work for orphans etc.
so i am going to see if i can actually get them to send me a rubber cashiers check.

Am very happy to hear that the place is still available, my move-in will be as soon as the space is ready after payment. Am a 26 years old Scottish young Lady coming for stay. I am a calm, easy going and cool person to stay and live with, I don't smoke but staying with a smoker will not be a problem, am a social drinker and I easily associate and interact with people a lot. This will be my first experience in United State and am really overwhelmed and joyous as a first timer. My hobbies are reading, swimming, sports and associating with people around me. I guess you will know more about me once we meet in person. Because of the distance, I wont be able to come and see the place,
should you have more pictures of the place, I wouldn't mind if you can send me so I can send it to my Dad to see the place.How much is your final asking price?
My Dad will be in charge of the payment on a monthly basis, so all I need do is just to confirm the availability of the space, how conducive it is for stay and how furnished/Unfurnished it is. I hope you know that booking an appointment to come see the apartment is not necessary since am far from your location? What my Dad requires I give to him to make payment to you ASAP are:
1. Your names in full as it will appear on the check
2. Your Address in full with the zip code (No P.O Box)
3. Your phone number.
I await your swift response so he can issue a you a US cashiers check for the first months payment. I will email you to let you know as soon as the check is issued.

I appreciate your continuity in making my stay in USA a lengthy experience. I'd need to explain the method of payment to you once again. The check you will be receiving will amount for both my traveling and rent fee, all you have to do is just to deduct your first month rental fee immediately you have the check cashed and have the balance sent to my travel agent to get my travel papers finalized and processed. No worries about subsequent months because I will be paying that in cash and in person once am in the state. I need you to consider the room taken by me. Waiting to hear back from you.
