I'm an Ob/Gyn and I try to discourage new parents from having circumcisions done. Basically, it's a purely elective surgical procedure that carries some risk and has no clear medical benefit.

I see no reason why it should be imposed on an infant. If a boy grows up and decides he wishes he was circumcised, then he can go and get one. That's a decision he can make for himself as a free-thinking adult if he so chooses. No need to force it on him.

But that's just my opinion, of course.

Immunizations hurt but have medical purposes, tattoos make the human skin look like a canvas of art and yes it also hurts but what does the circumcision do, besides giving the man a mushroom head that I have., even without the circumcision?

It should be a choice made by a grown and understanding person, of the procedure they are about to receive.

Its 36 votes each way, half and half. I have full hood, and getting it trapped when it pulls back inside my girlfriend is an issue, It really hurts pulling it back. I have considered removing my hood but would be worried about chaffing my head in my underwear walking! Also would it lose sensitivity over time not having skin prootecting it?
