Potato bun, quality toppings.. They have a regional menus so not sure if you have the jalapeno burgers where you are.. but the "cholesterol" aka: burger w. the egg on it is good too! :)

Maybe the ones in houston are just better but I think it's one of the best burgers around. On that same note, I went to 5 guys once and will not be going back. I thought it sucked.

Does anyone remember when Carl's Jr. (did Hardees have them too) came out with the $6 burger to mock burgers that cost too much. Now a $6 burger combo is like $8.

It's no better than McDonalds, except you can add avocado. No thanks. Also, the fries are terrible. BUT, they do have fried pickles, which almost makes up for lacking everywhere else.

One is in process of opening here. Was hoping it was more like Fatburger and In-N-Out in the price department. Five Guys isn't great and when it's 12 dollars for a burger, fries and a drink

IMO Whataburger is the best all round place for burgers. Our stores are supper clean and they sort of wait on you. The burgers look most like what the marketing promises, taste great, good quantity, and they have paper towels in the restroom. Paper towels in the restroom is extremely rare and it adds up to a more hygienic environment.

In-and-Out is ok, but their frys suck ass. Overall not living up to the hype, i actually like Sonic better.

5-Guys was a big disappointment and too dam expensive for what you got. The fries were good and they had malt vinegar and mayo for them so bonus points there, but not worth a second try.

i have not tried Smash Burger yet.

i am spoiled though i have a Roaring Fork right up the street from me. (there is one in Austin too)

i get this for $7.99 at happy hour (and during the summer HH is 4 until close) 1/2 price well and call liqour

3/4 to 1 lb (depending on the cook) ground sirloin and porterhouse (it is the steak trimming because they trim their own steaks) topped with thick cut bacon smoked sharp cheddar, grilled green chili, a thick cut grilled onion, lettuce, thick cut dill pickles and tomato. you get a big bucket of seasoned fries with it too. all for $7.99 (norm price is $9.99). they will cook it exactly how you want it too. blood rare, no problem there will be blood on your plate.

i am one of 3 people who can eat 3 in one sitting so they know me there.

they also have huge bowls of home made shaved beef jerky at the bar along with their own spicey "chex mix" that includes Schniders honey mustard pretzel bits.

that pretty much blows all the other burgers out of the water.

I'll have to check out Roaring Fork sometime...that's the first I've heard of it.
