Do you prefer cop piss to 2% fat milk OP? Do you refrigerate said piss or is it a "hot cereal"?

Earendil, I understand what you're saying but we aren't exactly talking about the police serving a murder warrant. It was a bullshit call from the neighbors, and they should have taken the call "with a grain of salt." Not responding with 6 police cars, and 8 police officers. I mean, don't they have seat belt tickets to be writing or some shit? In a real life situation, and if people were in real danger, then fuck- knock my doors down, kick paint buckets, I don't care. But they should have been diplomatic about a situation like this, and certainly not entered the house. We were being 100% cooperative, not "scattering" or hopping over fences, there was no reason to treat us like criminals.

When I confronted the police, they should have shown some respect and let me prove my innocence instead of assuming we were all guilty. I offered to call my dad, show him my license, show him the set of keys I had, etc etc.

I didn't expect the "I don't give you permission to enter" line to work, but I was trying to avoid being embarrassed in front of my friends. I wanted to talk to the officer one on one outside, but they weren't having that.

I was smoking before. And I made it clear that I was the only one smoking, furnishing my recommendation. It's not like my buddy was off the to side with a blunt in his mouth.

hah I do the same with my sisters properties, but I know all the neighbors personally, and make sure they know when I'm around.

I do feel bad that you're so butthurt about it. I literally lol'd in class when I read "I DO NOT GIVE YOU PERMISSION" and actually expected it to work.

they don't know you, they see cars there so they call the police (that is the police's job). i would not expect my neighbor to confront someone at my house when i was not there. i would hope they would call the police though as i would do the same for them.

It depends on what they told the police. If they called the police and said "There are people in the house, and we think it's supposed to be vacant", then yeah, good neighbors.

If they called the police and said "There are people in the house and we KNOW it's supposed to be vacant, and they are doing illegal drugs, doing damage to the house, and I think I heard someone scream in pain".
Well, than you can start to understand a more aggressive police stance. And in that case, we would expect the people that called the police to be sued by both the house owner AND the police department for wasting their time.

Now, I doubt they said anything as bad as the second set. However if more than a single police car showed up or more than two officers, than the police were not just expecting to show up and kick some bums out. They were expecting resistance and illegal activity. They weren't expecting a couple punk middle schoolers.

How the police acted once they arrived should be questioned. But I'd be curious what the neighbors said that caused that many police to show up in the first place. My bet is that they were being less than honest, and mislead the police intentionally or accidentally.

I believe the term jack booted thugs applies here

I mean really did the cop not find it odd, that someone who was just squatting and trespassing was fucking painting and putting in new carpet????

This....and we don't pay cops to think anymore...or did we ever? Maybe just maybe if they were held accountable for shit like this this type of thing would happen less often.
