Damn, actually the complete Kracked Skulls board looks really good, and for $150 too. Shit I might have to get one of those.

That cracked skull looks nice. What size is that?
Pardon my noobness, but one thing I need to ask is what the general size(s) are that have the tightest handling? I like most things in life tight ;)

Its a 38" and no it doesnt reflect handling.

Check out Originals website & they have tutorials as well as videos teaching a bit about it.

Generally speaking, longer decks are better for cruising/dancing but my brother uses his 42" & says it does just fine, even though I think its more difficult

Man, longboards sure do bring back good memories! I would highly recommend a loaded board. The dervish to be exact! Looking to get another one soon!

if you want tight turners, get a sector nine board under 40 inches, and for turcks get gullwing double kingpin trucks and loosen them all the way, and get a wide wheel with a lot of grip, something smooth and soft.

I would also recommend daddiesboardshop.com. I got a custom built board at a reasonable price and I couldn't be happier. Flexdex has some cool shit, and a it's just a bunch of guys trying to make it big in a business they love. (and there boards are meant to be fuckin ridden check put there website and watch them rip). Another brand I recommend is landyachtz, I bought my second board from them, and I rock the BEAR grizzly trucks on my new board, cool technology and a solid product. I however would advise against "original" those torsion/spring (whatever) trucks are funky.

So as a guy who skated for 8 or so years of his youth away, tell me what a long board does for you exactly?

I would recommend Alpine Longboards. Its a company my best friends little brother has started. He's been hitting it pretty hard and having a good time in the process. His dad went out and for christmas last year bought him a board press so over the last 9 months he's been learning how to use it, and epoxy and stuff. They're great boards and are holding up great.
