im talking about the big boats.
if its longer than 40 inches i want nothing to do with it.
like boards that are in the 60 inch range, they do not handle well enough to ride in most urban settings.

plus cruisers have a tail and nose which most longboards dont, so curbs and etc are an obstacle in your path that you cant really conquer, plus its funner to goof off on a board with kick.

I'm not trying to instigate but you do realize that cruiser/longboards are the progenitor to the modern short board, right?

        To the hate:

Growing up, a lot of my friends got into skateboarding.
In fact, one of my good friend's older brothers is one of the rawest that I have ever seen (Andrew Ramos).
I never got very good at it, I used to go the parks and shit with them...etc.

I enjoy longboarding around the hills where I live, sliding and all dat fun stuffz.
I'm an avid cyclist, but I found an individual love for longboarding.

I'm still not that good, but I enjoy going out the Oakland and Berkeley hills while I'm still in the bay.

          not entirely true.
the first real skateboards were about 5 inches wide and 20 inches long.

from there street skateboards were a little longer than the standard 30 inch long skateboards today. people like gonz and other skateboarders from the twin kick street skateboarding generation rode 35-40 inch boards, and they still do from time to time.

but skateboards started out smaller than the "short-boards" of todays time..

Edgeboardshop has great deals on good longboards. They are located in dana point but they also have really fast shipping if you order.

I ride a Rayne Nemesis with caliber trucks and Orangatang Durian wheels. Its a sick freeride setup.

im biased but comet and loaded are hands down great boards for the price. A few of my friends skate for their team and a few others work in their actual factory. its prety sweet. ive seen these boards being put through intense sessions... think malibu canyons, merry hill race in washington....

me and my friends have been doing down hill for prob 10 years now and the ones who went pro all ride for loaded and orangatang wheels.

I remember posting on this saying I bought a penny board. After two months of riding her, she was stolen. I rode it a parking lot and placed it next to my e30. I suddenly bumped into a friend and we talked for a few minutes. I came back and it was gone. Bitches.
I have yet to se anyone riding a board even remote to mine. I wil forever search and when i find that person, BOOM. Theyll be on the ground before you know it.
I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

Dude penny boards are all over the place, you should cut your losses unless yours had distinct features like a special grip job or stickers.

With that being said I have no idea where my cruiser board is :(
