Its way better, no lag on the shotty and more game modes. In my opinion its as good as the first one.

At my house we will be buying GOW3 in about 2013. We're currently buying everything that was hot in 2009: Forza3, Borderlands, Mass Effect 2, FEAR2, etc. Saves a lot of money.

I don't own an Xbox and haven't since Forza 3 came out (I was disappointed with that game and sold my xbox asap). The original Gears of War was the best imo, besides the glitching and having host advantage online, it was pretty fun.

The graphics are really good, guns are great but it just feels HEAVY. Moving the avatar around the map is like steering a retarded lame horse. Games are slow paced out from n00bs using the saw'd off shotgun(effective to 3', so they wait in corners). Regardless of all that I am a monster at any killing game. Played 12 matches with my friends that are at level 44-60 already. So I was matching mid 30s-50ish. Did not lose a game lol, it is just too easy IMO.

agreed. when compared to FPSs the game is very slow and movement feels clunky. also, I know it's kind of the point of a cover-based shooter, but the cover system gets in the way more often than it helps me.

horde mode is where the game is most fun, IMO

maybe so, but i think it feel more realistic that way than an FPS where you can be running forward then stop on a dime and be running the opposite way.. you just can't do that when wearing armor and 2 assault weapons. The cover system does get annoying in tight spots but usually it seems to work better than most.
I think it just pisses off the self proclaimed master of twitchy shotgun headshots up there. It's not quake 3. Honestly my reflexes aren't as fine-tuned as they used to be, this game is easier for me to be competitive in than a lot of others where an extra 20ms of ping time is a life/death issue. And the chainsaw NEVER GETS OLD. The different weapon executions are great.

And yeah Horde mode is the best.
