I got some add-a-leaf springs from a buddy of mine (2" lift), part number is R3536s. It looks like it'll work on some chevys and CJs as well. Is it going to be an issue on my 1995 XJ?
According to the summit website they are for an older jeep, not an xj. Might check around on the jeep forums and see. I am not really a fan of add-a-leafs, its pretty much taking the load of the entire spring pack and putting it on that one spring. I had a '01 cherokee with 2in blocks and 4.5in add-a-leafs, and it rode like crap so they were quickly replaced with full leaf packs.
^already registered on there, haven't heard anything yet. I don't care so much about the add-a-leaf's longevity because I'll redo it eventually anyway. I just want to know if they'll work because I got them for free.
Never installed an add-a-leaf myself but im pretty sure you remove one leaf and replace it with the add-a-leaf. Do some measuring and see if it will fit. Should go about in the middle of the leaf pack
Never used add a leaf either, I lifted the YJ with a Rough Country 2.5" lift, actually lifted about 4" works good, and cheap, the leafs are NA made as well, which is awesome in my oppinion. included shocks around $450.00
