Normally I seem to disagree with the majority on here but not this time. Screw having millions of ungrateful, arrogant, homeless come to your city and steal or your shit. I cannot believe they would refuse water cos' it wasn't coke, or food cos' it wasn't maccas.

An article over here featured a white family who couldn't get out of NO and they were being abused and all sorts of carry on by the blacks while they were waiting inline. People even taking the chance to feel up women waiting in line. Creeps. But what can you do?

this whole thing is all too true. the sad part is, most of those 70% he was talking about were homeless BEFORE katrina hit. the people there are complaining that their bottled water isn't cold. they are honestly the biggest assholes I have ever seen. most people there hae more now than they have EVER had in their lives, and want more. they finally have jobs, taken away from residents here and given to the people from N.O.

our crime rate has skyrocketed ever since the first round of buses came. the first day, a man had his car parked unloading donations, and someone hopped in it and drove away. its freakin horseshit.

I have been there personally, and they are the most ungrateful people ever. I would walk by, and people would spit at me and make all sorts of fucked up comments. Its just horrible and it is really pissing me off. Not only have we given them a place to live and work, they are coming to ours schools and making decent schools go to hell. Most of them show up halfway through class, and we later find out the reason they were so late is because they were vandalizing the bathrooms.

Fuck this shit.

Yeah gotta agree with this here, the day they startted bringing the people to the dome from N.O. I was at the Dome setting up for our UH tailgate party for the game that night, whole damn time I was a depressed drunk cause I'm sittin here watchin these people come off of the buses (and I mean like 40 of 'em in a row) and thinkin about how cruel we are BBQ'in in the parking lot where they are being unloaded and lead into the Dome. But I get home that night and on the news there were several cars broken into and people assaulted when they wouldn't give the evacuees who were milling around like cattle any money. Then when older Bush and Clinton come to check out the scene in the dome there was a clip on the news of some black lady cusing Clinton out, WTF is that all about, and everyday there is some other story that comes out of people bitching about how they don't have cold water or that they have a curfew (cause of cars being broken into by their cot mates). Now today I got a guy from Dillard (a school in Louisiana) in one of my classes and hes grateful about all that the school and Houston have done for him.

It's like WTF mate!!!

Did anyone catch Oprah today (my girlfriend made me watch it)? Oprah was reporting from one of the convention centers or the dome, I don't know.
Anyways, there she was hugging these "evacuees" but sort of keeping her distance (these people have a weeks worth of stink on them you know), and with tears rolling down her cheeks proclaimed, and I quote, "We, as Americans, owe these people an appology".............. I just about lost it!

All of the white people could afford to just pack up and head to the nearest Four Seasons, while all of the black citizens were stuck on the street. Sir, you can take your social injustice and shove it up your..... there are plenty of hispanics here in the US that have come from nothing making treks from Central and South America that aren't sitting around bitchin at the government about how they need govt assistance. I personally know of several black families, that came out of N.O. and are renting $250,000+ homes with their own money.

Jay, they werent corraled and refused exit. They just didnt leave. There were (and are) plenty of whites still left in their areas. Many people ignored the (very late) evacuation order by the Mayor. The feds recommended evac but cant force it unless there is a civil disturbance that the state cant handle.

Also the catasthrophe didnt really happen until 2 days after the storm passed. The initial outlook was better than expected, then the flooding came. Then a day later the state requested help.

Are you claiming that the reason the vast number of black people "need a fix" or "buy fawdies" is heridetary, or somehow genetical?

This is a social problem, with roots much further back than you are imagining. People don't want to become drug addicts, despite what you're getting at. They are brought into the lifestyle by the prejuduces and stereotypes placed against them from birth. You are already tagging them all as drains on society, from the day the open their eyes. I get harassed by police on the street, searched at the border, pulled over every month without reason, and eyed down curiously at the bank because I am not white. I have many friends and colleagues that experience the same torture, and many fall into the trap of "well if they think I'm a crook, I may as well be one". Teachers don't expect anything from us, I know I've heard the "why don't you try and play basketball?" insult from a few. Now I've made my way to the best university in Canada working against the grain, and all I can do is watch my old friends that were once honest people fall into what society expects them to be: criminals, drug dealers, woman abusers, and single parents.

But once again, it wasn't your choice to stereotype us and shatter our self-confidence. No, it was your parents and society before you. This issue has been around since confederation and is as strong as ever today, America is racist and will stay that way for as long as it can.
