I would say keep the past as such. Maybe tell your current GF about the current situation and how you feel, if she is as awesome as you say she is then she should understand and help ease your feelings. I know I would do the same with mine.
I don't really see anything wrong if it's just a friends type deal, maybe some closure.1985 M10b18. 70maybewhpoffury. Over engineered S50b30 murica BBQ swap in progress.

So your minding your business happy in your current relationship, then bang you get a facebook friend request from a girl you haven't spoke to for over 3 years. You didn't break up on best of terms...but maybe you still have some feelings for her. Question is...would you accept or delete the request...bear in mind your current (awesome) girlfriend knows your password to facebook and she also would know that unique name requesting friendship without a PM message...add another dimension to the fold...my facebook name isn't my real name, Dean (and my surname) instead I have my name as a Dinosaur...D Rex to be precise...so she would really have to be looking for me to know that...oops you've guessed I'm in two minds. Current girlfriend love her to bits, check out girlfroend thread for my post, she is incredible, but my ex I feel minimal feelings for but maybe tgats because she was the girl I did everything with first and we did have some great times and shit times. My feeling is to let past be past but I dont know really...so here is the poll. Answer yes, no or delete. Leave reasons, love to hear them you guys are always open and honest.
First off, I am a firm believer that technology (more specifically social networking sites) manage to fuck up relationships way more than they tend to help them. Mainly due to the fact that you're always one regretful click away from seeing your ex and all the happy moments in their life; Which will A. either make you feel shitty immediately (taken from your "didnt' break up on best of terms," quote), or B. make you feel shitty after making you reminisce, feel happy, and consider an attempt to reconnect (which will sooner or later fuck your current relationship.)
If you do pick option B (1 or 3 on your poll,) things will be bad for you...
If you tell your current girl that you've reconnected with your ex, things will turn bad. It may be subtle, or it might be a full blown out violation of trust. It doesn't matter if she's "ok with it," because she's not. You will be getting more calls, more texts, and worst off more questions that will drive you mad because she doesn't know what's going on. It won't matter how honest you are.
If reconnect with your ex and don't tell your current, then guess what? Things will be bad, because lets face it: you're not the sneaky type of dude that can fuck multiple girls and juggle multiple relationships without having a guilty conscious while whispering sweet nothings into the girls ear that you "love to bits." Not ragging you here, but with the personal information and photos you've chosen to share with the world, as soon as you click "accept" then you're handing your ex the fuel to burn your current relationship to the fucking ground. Plus, you sound like a better guy than that.
If you chose to stay neutral by not doing anything, then shit still turns bad. Whether your girlfriend says it or not, she will wonder why you haven't picked either option, and she'll be weighing her decisions until the smallest, unrelated argument causes her to boil over. Staying neutral will just make her uncertain (and you really don't want to deal with this type of uncertainty because it's the type that only women know. Men only know it's fucking retarded and makes no.sense.at.all.)
So...If you choose to delete her (and block her...)
This is the only viable option here... You can even tell her (hey look you're upfront and honest.) If she asks why, then it's easy to choose a good reason. Plus, unless you're a colossal fuck up of a conversationalist then you cant go wrong.
Her: Well why did you delete and block her?
You: She was a part of my life where I look back at and I'm glad I'm over with it.
The bad overshadowed the good..
I was unhappy more than I was happy..
There are literally dozens of responses here that will be more than adequate. This stacks up a little better than any of the options for B, 1, and 3.
Ex's always find a way to try and ease their way back into your life, and 99% of the time it's when you're happy with your current relationship and content with the one that no longer exist. They usually make contact when you've just forgotten completely about them. She's probably having a slightly rough time now where she feels like she needs someone familiar who she can open up to... probably just out of another relationship that wasn't as good as the one you shared. 3 years? Oh well, she'll get over it as soon as you shut the door. If you're using an alias, as humorous as it is, then your ex has already considered the fact that you may possibly have one to avoid people that you don't want or need in your life. i.e. HER. So again, block her to confirm and cement this in her mind. She doesn't need to know who you are now or how your life's going. I seriously suggest not developing the curiosity about hers... You've moved on now. Leave it. You're happy now.
Good luck.

I'm 21 and friends with my two "exs" after being readded months (in one case, years) later. I didn't think anything of it....although I do enjoy seeing the newer pictures of one every now and then and go "lol, bitch chubbed up." My current woman doesn't mind that I'm friends with them.
