    AMD Bulldozer. Disapointed!

Well for all the tech heads here the AMD Desktop Bulldozer finally has some reputable reviews out, and to say the least it is a big disapointment for me. While I was not expecting it to be faster then a sandy bridge I was at least expecting it to be up there with it. Instead I see it performing all over the place there is no consistency with it.

I supose it is a brand new architechure and will need time to develope. Currently an indivdual Bulldozer core is slower then the phenom core which is a real shock for me. I hope bulldozer 2 with the pile driver cores can catch back up. Here is a link to a review for you all.

I used to rock AMD exclusively, but lately they've been sucking balls so I just stick to intel. There isn't a significant pricepoint advantage anymore.

    Keep it slideways!!

Same here. I haven't bought an AMD product in a while, and from all the reviews I won't get this either

Phenom II was the last line worth using. Stick with Sandy Bridge or the upcoming Ivy-bridge.

Not surprising in the least, Intel can't be topped.

my new gaming pc has an AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Thuban, love that thing, runs bfbc2 with all settings cranked at 165fps.

i don't know if the bulldozer is worth getting anytime soon.

axxe, amd processors are much more affordable than intel. my processor cost me $185, the equivalent intel processor costs nearly $600.
the "price point" was the deciding factor for me. 2 of my very good friends (who both do I.T. stuff for a living) were giving me recommendations on what to buy, one guy pushes intel, the other, amd. i made my choices on performance vs. cost, the amd setup saved me $400 up front.

I'm going to sound like a huge blow hard saying this....but no one pays me cause I'm on a one osx/x86/x64 or the other. They pay me to do work. They pay me to get stuff done.

The whole "my PC is is better that yours" is kind pointless.
