How did your parents punish you when you were younger?

I once got thrown over the dining room table, and broke 2 chairs, then taken out to the front yard and choked until I passed out.#that was for stealing a Chevy Cavalier convert. when I was 14 or 15.

got my hair pulled alot by my mother when I was a teenager rocker smoking weed and crap.
when younger, the spoon and grounding thing most of the time.

We had a wooden paddle, I met the business end of that and figured out I didn't want to have that happen again, EVER. Well, I decided I just wasn't going to get caught again. If I said anything rude or wrong as a kid I got soap in the mouth. It was Dawn dish soap and my mom or dad would rub it on my tongue. Fuck that shit, glad I learned from that lesson.

Groundings didn't work much for me. Usually got punched, hit, slapped. The usual Puerto Rican thrown objects. Funniest item I ever had thrown was a loaf of bread that was fresh. After laughing got hit with the bread basket that wound up breaking in 2.

i was at a friends house, and his dad started beating him up. 40 something year old man vs a 14 year old boy. his dad is a mean bastard. full on punches to the ribs and face.

at the time, i was 17 and about 5'7, 285lbs. i tackled his dad, and hit him so hard in the ribs that i cracked 2 of them. he got up and tried to swing at me, so i tackled him again. he decided to stay down that time. me and my buddy left, and he stayed at my house for 2 weeks.


before anyone asks about why my friend was so much younger, both of our moms have been friends for a long time, so we were always hanging out since i can remember. i kind of feel as though somebody needed to stand up for him...



later, when i asked why his dad was mad, my friend said it was because he had forgotten to get the mail from the mailbox. his dad is crazy.

Once I disappointed my parents when I was 13 (had to be picked up from the police station, then had to attend court) and my mother sat down with me at a cafe and looked at me for about 10 minutes without a word then started tearing up. Then she asked what she did wrong, why I did what I did. Seeing the worry and hope in her teary eye throughout the trial process hurt like hell emotionally. That was a better lesson than being beaten. And I've been hurt physically, I know how that feels.

Got the belt treatment all the time, I would probably been considered a hyperactive kid by today's standards. Cinto pitiado was my dads belt of choice. I have 3 brothers and he always made us go get the belt he used lol, last time I got a whooping was probably in middle school.

this is soo true.


when i was younger, The belt was the choice of discipline. But you know what? Whenever i fucked up and i got that belt, i never did it again! and it was more of the intensity of my dad getting angry and whipping that belt, more than the pain.

One time my older brother and I BOTH were getting it.. My brother started laughing as my dad whipped the belt on him, he made my brother stand up and he slapped him in the face :hitler:, he never laughed over that matter again.

On a second note, i've had to hold my arms out holding encyclopedia's until I couldn't anymore, if i let them drop, i got the belt, etc. This happened to me since i got caught playing hookey at school by the COPS! my dad made me do this for 2 weeks until i learned my lesson.... unfortunately i never did... LOL

Whooped my ass. But that's only if I truly deserved it.

I was mad and pissed to all hell when he did it at the time, but it was beneficial to me now that I think about it. Of course, he came from a family of 6 and assbeatings were the norm when it came to discipline.
