    bicycle question

I'm in the market for a bike. This will be a gift for a family member that lives within a block of the ocean, EVERYTHING up there rusts apart in a hurry. I know they make stainless chains but that doesn't help the other hardware much.
What is composed entirely of stainless, composites, etc that will be totally corrosion resistant?
And I can give a fuck about the weight. I'm not paying for a carbon fiber frame. The only other priority is that it's as affordable as possible. Because the thing will probly still get wrecked by beach sand and get stolen anyways.

Just keep it inside? Maybe an aluminum frame?

Get a sperm bike. It's made of man-seed so it will never rust and it cleans up with soap and water.

I'd suggest an inexpensive single speed cruiser. Simple components hold up well in corrosive environments and classic cruiser styling is almost universally pleasing to those who aren't bike fanatics.

Trek makes a belt drive bicycle. Really nice actually, I tried one at the bike shop that my dad frequents.

Stainless chains rust trust me. Kmc makes a rust resistant chain that is gray in color. It works great. A cheap bike is guarenteed to rust quickly aluminum or not. Cheap bike = cheap metal poor finish. Steel wheels unsealed bearings etc. A quality single speed or 3 speed cruiser will run you 300 to 450 bucks. The most popular cruiser bikemy store sells is made by Giant. It's called a simple. 6000 series aluminum, super nice welds, aluminum wheels and all sealed bearings to keep sand and water out. The best thing to do reguardless of what you get, put a heavy coat of wax everywhere. And keep it clean. Spray it with air and follow with a quick detail type spray. When searching for a bike bring a magnet with you to check to see what parts are really aluminum and which are steel.
I need your obd1 parts! Harness intake ecu etc.

Belt drive bikes are cool but more pricy. The belt system is made by gates. It's called gates carbon drive. Fun fact. Check out the bike for any knicks or deep scratches because they will rust extra fast. Fenders look cool and save the rest of the bike but they're made pretty cheap these days.

aluminum is not as bad as steel with corrosion, but stainless is better. nobody makes a stainless bike?

edit: to rephrase that, my searches so far have ll ended with $3k+ options for high-end bikes. I'm looking more in the $500 range.

Even if the frame and fork was stainless which is very unlikly, every other part won't be.
