New car: 2012 Focus or 2012 Mazda3

Ran in to a bit of a snag:

I wanted a very particular car with certain packages and options, one of them being navigation. I'd rather keep my phone in my pocket and not have to fumble around with it every time I want to find the nearest whatever.

The car that is supposedly being delivered tomorrow doesn't have nav, even though I expressly told my salesman I wanted it. We went over the cars window sticker before doing the paperwork, and somehow I also missed that navigation wasn't on there. We both goofed.

Good news is that I found the exact car I want... in Spokane, WA. But the dealer refuses to do any dealer trades of Focus models. So it looks like I'll back out of my current purchase and get the one up there. This is a car I'll be living with every day for the next 5-6 years and I see no reason to settle with anything other than what I want.

Well.... I did it. Got a 2012 Focus Titanium with the winter package, nav and a moonroof. MSRP on the car is $25885, I got this one for $23861 plus $1500 in rebates, so my out-the-door price was about $3500 below msrp and $1000 below invoice.

It's on the way from another dealer in Idaho, I should have it by Wednesday. Fuck ya!! I'm stoked.

Congrats! I love the new Focus. After recently ditching my SVT Focus I had for 7 years I wouldn't hesitate to hop in a new one. Heard tons of good about the news ones, especially the Titanium package.

errr, I wish the fit had better mpg numbers, that's my favorite economy car hands down.

As a valet I drive a lot of rental cars and the fords really have stepped it up. I'm sure you'll love your new focus. 40mpg is really quite impressive for how big/nice these cars have gotten.
