I was definitely at LV. If you were 130, you may have wrestled my buddy Ryan McCormack.

I graduated in 07' from Mepham HS. I don't know if we ever versed you guys. We were in the locust valley, glen cove and sprig tournaments and we had our county qualifier that year at long beach.

wrestling is one of the best sports. I started in 7th grade and went through high school. Went 130 my senior year and we went undefeated. I did a bunch of camps on the off season. I was going to continue with it in college but they canceled the program the year before I came in. We still run a grappling club and participate in tourneys.

I have seen nigga flip and it is awesome

I started at 112 freshman year and senior year i was 140. Conditioning was my bread and butter, i wasnt the strongest guy but i could wrestle for 15minutes straight. Eat several smaller meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism going. 2 hardboiled eggs for breakfast, greek yogurt around mid morning, modest lunch, snack, and dinner. Try to keep a good amount of protein and few carbs in your meals. Its also very important to put in the time after practice, when you get home and have some dinner wait an hour or so and go on a 2 or 3 mile run, your conditioning will be kick ass and your metabolism stay active and help you keep your weight down while still being able to eat.

Lately for workouts Ive been doing a lot of body weight training (handstands, push ups, pull ups, leg lifts, etc...) I feel great and it is definitively good strength training without killing myself in the weight room. I've been at it for 3 weeks and I've added 30+ seconds to my handstand time, it might seem insignificant, but its a lot.

I wrestled all through high school and was captain my final year. I wrestled 125-145 all through out, getting heavier as I grew up obviously. Definitely some of the hardest weight classes.
We did cross fit training our final year and were so well conditioned that we could easily outlast other teams. My team went undefeated my senior year. Felt good man.

I am 140 now and looking to go 132. I didn't have much to loose last year, just keep my weight steady at 125 but I still didn't eat much. Our program uses training techniques similar to crossfit and that helps with the weight a lot, I am just looking more at a healthy diet rather than eat a few granola bars during the day.

What weight are you now and where are you trying to get to? A lot of the younger guys do Crossfit in order to lose weight but increase stamina/muscle mass, so depending on your circumstances you might want to look into that.

This. Love being a BJJ superheavyweight (221+) never have to worry about cutting weight and walk around at my natural weight all the time. (240-245)

I wrestled in middle school. I was pretty good... been doing swimming though for my freshman and sophomore year.

I want to get back at it... just I dont want to play a sport, takes up my time.
