Did anybody watch the 5 part series on history channel about vietnam in HD? My dad did 2 tours over there. I learned alot watching that series besides reading about it and from another series in the 80's called (vietnam the 10'000 day war) and storys from my dad. Anybody else have anything positive to share?

I talked to a vet a while ago about his tour in vietnam. He was in the K9 unit. Dog saved his life plenty of times. One day it was shot and died in his arms.
I just shortened the story a bit. T'was very sad. And till this day he cannot get himself to get a purebred German Shepard.Instagram: @jstnlwsOriginally posted by HarryPotternot to be racist but i've had multiple african americans comment on how they love my car. I've seen pics of e30's rolling through africa with at least 15-20 africans on them with ak-47's. WILD. its in the african blood. Hope this wasn't too racist, forgive me as I am intoxicated.Comment

Great series, I keep trying to switch the channel but the stories keep me planted.
Sad event regardless and after I saw the short clip by Walter Cronkite, it made me sick to my stomach to think that no one should have died there.@IRON-E30 aka Edwin:DComment

Alot of people were being very negative about the soldiers when they were coming home. I know it was a different time and place in history but that was completely wrong. It really makes me MORE proud than ever about my dad serving in the armed forces especially today after watching that series and seeing how the vets were treated.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

They say History repeats itself, and that we make the same mistakes over and over, but I gotta say that I'm glad America treats it's troops much differently this time around.Alot of people were being very negative about the soldiers when they were coming home. the last part about the VietCong having bounties on the dogs as well as the handlers is very true as the guy that I talked had a nifty bounty on him. crazy.Instagram: @jstnlwsOriginally posted by HarryPotternot to be racist but i've had multiple african americans comment on how they love my car.
