Facebook text alerts. Back when poke wars were cool (smh), I would be away from my phone for an hour and have almost 20 unread messages just from pokes. Then there's if someone writes on your wall, comments on your shit, etc.

The alert pops up and I can read the message without opening it. I usually have 60+ "unread" messages but I've read them all.
