Just found a couple of old prints of mine in a box. These are crappy scans on my office printer.

Looks like mid to late 80s (?) in south Seattle at a show at a county park. I remember lots of Alfas, a few Ferraris, two Dinos, and misc. A guy rolled up in a new 512 Testa Rossa, which is the first one I had seen in person.

A woman named Phyllis, who had done a lot of racing, came from CA with a 105 GTV that was a Ward & Dean suspension prototype. They made good springs and such.

Another local woman had a red '74 GTV with....12,000 miles on it. WHY are you not driving this car, we wondered?!

A white-haired psychologist showed up with a newly restored Giulietta Sprint Veloce, a very rare car (looks like Wills car). They brought it on a trailer because they hadn't even tried to start it yet - just finished. But he had a stereo in it blaring Italian opera out the windows.

Then an older guy with a cowboy belt buckle showed up late and parked behind me in the dark red Ferrari 410 Superamerica, which ought to be late 50s. They were like the big block, hot rod Ferrari. It was spectacular. Perfect condition. It sounded great! The little crossed Pininfarina and checkered flags logo on the trunk. No one knew who he was. WA dealer plates. Weird I remember stuff like that.

I got to spend the weekend sorting a friends '65 101 Spyder out. It was a 10 year long restoration that was finished 6 years ago, but it was never fully sorted out. Its had an evil tendency to snap oversteer in a corner. As it turned out, the axle limiting straps in the rear were too short. The car would start to lean over, then the inside strap would pull tight and cause the car to want to rotate too much. I tested the theory by undoing the straps and taking it for a drive. Problem solved. I also did a little work in tweaking the carb.

This is for sale out there. I recognize his forum name - I think he's pretty reputable. But it looks like it may be in Germany.

That's kind of scary. So it was trying to pick up it's inside rear wheel?

That would be my guess. The car has miles of body roll. If it were mine, I'd set it up much differently. When I get to the point of being ready to drive the Sprint, I'll likely pick up a spring and sway bar setup from Alfaholics designed for track use. It will lower the car and also minimise the body roll.
