A Sprint coupe is a beautiful and everyday usable car. You grabbed the two variations of that car - see the difference in the grilles, and one has larger headlights as well.

Yea Im a newb to them, but love Giulietta Sprints to death... likely the only vintage Alfa I will buy if I get one, unless I can find a way to get my hands on a Montreal! I believe the two pictured are a 75 and 101 variant... I also believe the 'gray' one is the same as the one pictured a few posts up from my Giulia Sedan days

Yeah, if that's Dorian's grey Sprint then WoW. I bet it's sweet, and tweaked. Same color as my car, 716 Graphite. I could have bought a decent Sprint back in Seattle what, 20-25 years ago, for 5 to 10,000...did I?? No. I had 3 or 4 friends with them, older than me. A character from Vancouver BC with a white Veloce and 3 little kids in the back. A retired Psychologist / (Psychiatrist?) had just finished a fantastic restoration of his Veloce, but it wouldn't start, so he trailered it to a big Italian show in South Seattle, opera blaring out the windows.

Right, there were the earlier 750 series (late 50s) and then the 101's. But there were "transition' cars in between with pieces from both. Not sure if 101 means it's a "Giulia" Sprint...? Then the 105 chassis started with the sedans in about 1963? The Duetto Spider wasn't quite ready, so they kept selling the Giulia Spider Veloce into 1965. A bit like the 356 / 911 production overlap. The 1600 Veloce twin carb engine was a big deal, but by 1966 Duetto time it became the standard engine, 125-ish hp.

The Montreal was obviously stylish, and has that growling V8, but because of budgets they adapted the showcar to the 105 chassis, and it's a bit big and a bit heavy for that, so it's not so much a "sports car" as a macho grand touring coupe. Let me see if I can find the thing I read a few days ago about a custom Montreal V8 converted to flat plane crank and ITB's....oh it made a good noise!

Today I've been out in the cold fighting a Volvo 850T timing belt, and I'm bloody and crabby.

Hahaha, uh... right. I put air in the tires last month. I have been pondering doing some work on it. It would be kinda cool to get the thing done. I still need to find a place to do the chrome. That is really the biggest hold up in moving forward.
