I've had this horrible disease for 11-12 years now.
This past week was the absolute worst attacks I have ever had and I've been down and totally out for the past 30+ of 40 days now. On and off.
Done a ton of research over the years and saw numerous doctors, Naturopathic doctors, ENTs etc.
Finally found a Menieres disease message board specifying that one main cause may be a misalignment of the *atlas* bone. The first bone between the skull and the spine. This has to be done by a qualified upper cervical chiropractor (NUCCA). Not your normal chiropractor.
Here is also a link to that message board for another treatment that has apparently helped many others. And where i found out about the atlas bone.
I got in to see a NUCCA specialist here close to Portland. They found my atlas bone was out and showed me the X-ray of it and how it was misaligned. The doctor adjusted it. Along with this a few other things that are supposed to keep this disease in check or at least help.
It's been two full days and I have yet to have a full dizzy spell as long as I keep myself fed. I can't believe the difference in this simple adjustment. I played a ton of sports. Injury is usually the cause for the atlas bone to misalign apparently. Yet I never felt the *injury*.
If you know someone with this debilitating disease/diseases please forward this to them if they haven't already found help.
