Meh. Mine works great for hauling shit. It still has BMW luxury (it's basically an e39 on the inside), with great handling and gets decent MPG, and is faster then a stock e30. It's AWD, has decent ground clearance, and m62's last forever when maintained well.

It's actually a damn good all-purpose vehicle.

I never understood how these guys mix it up so much. Alot of things I see on that site isnt my style either, but you have to appreciate the effort into his projects, and pretty good photoraphy too.

well the skid plate does sit a little more than 1/4" lower than the pan and the runners on the plate put it another 1/4" closer to the ground at it's lowest point so that certainly doesn't help. I don't always bump frame on the speed bumps but I take them slow as shit.

Mad flex!! I don't hate a little stance, but I think some people go so far over the top with the whole poke stretch thing it becomes really stupid looking. As far as the x5, I hate it, Because I am thinking with all the money into it they could have actually made an awesome trail truck.

Correct, I never knocked how nice they are. Just saying it is not a off road SUV like people think they need to be.
I want a newer X5 BAD, they are beefy and super pleasing to the eyes. My mother WOULD have bought one but...she hated the stiff ride and firm seats. So I know it will be something I enjoy since I love my coilovers and polly bushings.
