Check out the video at the bottom of that article, I was reading somewhere else that the technology was from British military mapping for fighter jets and so on... don't know if it's true but it sounds cool.YOUTUBE: AR Perez

Maybe the iPhone will have some sort of native application for navigation instead of having to pay more for it. Its def one of those features that Android still has over the iPhone and apple has started aping features from Android like the multitasking, notifications and voice actions.Im now E30less.

Apple doesn't take stuff from Android, rather the Jailbreak community. Multitasking was a Jailbreak mod waaaaay back when. I had copy/paste on 3G when Android was just an idea. Same goes for a ton of the features new to iOS5. JBers pretty much beta test the features and Apple makes them a tad better. One of the modders recetly got emplyed by Apple.

Just like now that word is leaking that Google has a siri like update to Google Voice Actions (which has existed for over a year now) everyone is going to say that Google is copying Apple but maybe they just took a play from the independent developers who came up with Iris. Although, unlike Apple they dont block a 3rd party developer from their market before stealing their ideas.
Its back and forth between the two and its obvious, its just that everyone likes to think its purely one-sided. Both sides have said what the other is doing is shit (apples stance on their notifications and multitasking was superior until they decided that it wasnt) and then tries to make their own if its successful.
This isnt anything new. Its why we have BMWs instead of just Ford, someone thought they could do better.Im now E30less.
