Yeah man, I appreciate your response back. I agree it should be handled better, and I should pursue his fraudulent activity, but honestly it's not worth the effort for the outcome. I can send a letter of demand, but most likely it'll be thrown in the trash, I seriously doubt he will send my shoes back (it's been 5mo so I'm sure he's been ballin in them since he got them) or my $92. Plus filing in small claims is like $150+ then I'll have to get into contact with his local sheriffs department to serve the subpeona, etc etc. And I'm not even sure if I would file in CA or WV since it was an online transaction. I'll discuss it with my mom tonight, but she in short told me its more trouble than it's worth.

I explained the situation to her, she agreed I won with PayPal, but they are unaffiliated. So she didn't have any say in the matter. I paid the $92 so I wouldn't ruin my credit over this asshole. So he got away with $92 and a free pair of shoes. As I said before, I'm an honest individual and this guy railed me. Fucking scammer.

I went ahead and asked the NCO lady "shouldn't I atleast get the shoes back? (for principle) and she said no, there's some sort of clause when I set up my PayPal account." I then asked her (not that I would ever do this) what's stopping me from ordering an iPad off eBay, saying I got a wooden chopping block in an iPad box and doing a charge back?" she was vague about her response, but she said it happens all the time.

Ridiculous. Ask any of the R3V members if their shoes came muddy lol. I got screwed in the end for those wondering.

you could've told the NCO to "cease and desist" contacting you otherwise, you will practice your legal rights.

They usually threaten people and only the weak and uninformed give in.

Well I'm 20 years old, a ding on my credit was quite frightening from a collection agency, so I wanted to keep my FICO free and clear. I agree, I was put on the spot with this phone call, and reacted quickly by paying it. After I paid it, I realized it was probably just an idle threat, but why risk it? I'm too young to jeopardize my credit.

I remember he posted some pictures of shoes that look exactly the same as the ones you posted before you shipped them. However you should never claim new condition on a used product, that comes back to you lol.

It sounds like your priorities are slightly out of touch with how much emphasis you put on your credit. Or maybe I just don't care enough about mine. Don't get me wrong, I have taken care of all payments in regards to my credit cards but you are takin it to a whole other level. Regardless of how I think, congratulations on your victory. That's one small step for mankind, and one giant leap for you.

So after we talked about this the other day, somehow I was hit with 2 charges of $149.99 for itunes purchases. Apple only has an email support for this and is not much help...

Also, Did NCO have your social security number? I have had two collection agencies try to collect from me on things I never did. First thing is ask is if they have my social, when they say no there is nothing they can do. One of them tried asking for my social security number

I say just forget about it at this point. Your moving on to bigger and better things ha
