190e, the new "e30"?

I've had friends own both a 190E and a W124, I would buy the W124 over the 190E any day. The 190E was underpowered and downright small. I'm 6'2" and could never get comfortable driving that thing. The W124 was smooth and comfortable. -
I like them, the 2.3 16 in particular but they do look good. They were popular in the 80s as well with amg kits and wheels they were the baller cars. I happen to like the e30 better though. They just struck me as the more sporty model.Leave a comment:

Always wanted one, just not right now. I will after I'm done owning a 2002.

That last one is not bad, I would drive one and see how I like it but they have never been my "thang"Leave a comment:

My buddy has 2 190 Cossies, and they are pretty sweet. Both have dogleg 5 spds. One is stored at my shop right now. And yes, the parts are quite a bit more costly than BMW parts. I would never want to own one over an E30 although they are neat/attractive carsLeave a comment:

What? They have nothing in common and look totally different.
190 motors = same story as e30 motors, lots of boring ones and a couple rare/good ones.
Build a 190 with an M104 3.6 C36 amg engine, the eqivalent to an S50 swap. They can be turbo'd or TC'd just as easy as an S50.
Very similar engines, easy to work on, last a lifetime.
Or you can do a V8 C43 swap if ya gots dough.Leave a comment:

My mother in law has a w202 c230, really nice reliable car. It never struck me as an enthusiasts car though. The w202 was the last "real" benz before Chrysler bought it in '97 and they went down the pooper.Leave a comment:

My project car for the last 10 years has been a w201. Soft spot in my heart for them, but I don't know that they will replace the e30. Great cars though!Leave a comment:
