I don't miss tinkering especially messing with carb settings. It's all about tuning electric chassis.

    For motors. There's always

    Tekin
    Speed Passion
    Hobbywing

Tacon I hear is best bang for buck budget

Supposedly novak isn't what they used to be.

Yeah, I've got novak brushless's in my other cars and haven't been impressed, bearings went out after 3 months, and I've had to replace them several times since then. I was looking at the Tekin RX-8 esc and a T8 or a motor, but want to make damn sure before I spend the money on one.

I'll have to look up Tacon, I've never heard of it before.

I also hear good things about the hobbywing.

I'm pulling the trigger for my ta06. The X8 combo esc with a 8.5t motor.

Tacon seems to be a rebranded hobbywing motor.

For esc's someone recommended a "hobby industries"

IMO the hobbywing is probably going to be your best bang for buck. The tekin is up there in price, even used the rx8 esc is still around 120

When people ask you what car you drive and you say a BMW and they get all excited until they see it...

Speaking of parts just got my new lipo/charger in the mail. As well as new countersteer pulleys & shorter belt.

Lipo is pretty sweet. So small & packs a punch. Charger is nice & compact with some cool features.
