I normally don't get into Coheed and Cambria, but their new CD is fucking pimp. Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness is the name of the CD. The stuff they do is crazy, their melodies are catchy and overall its just a kickass album. I'd recommend it to anyone into alternative music, indie, punk, whatever... I think Mars Volta fans will like it a lot too.

I never liked Gorillas in the past either, but I like that new radio tune just like you. Unfortunately I don't have that CD, but I will see if I can source it.Comment

Im not a fan of the Gorillaz but Coheed's been pretty decent. Might have to source out a few tunes on my school DC server and see if its worth a buy.Back to my roots

The only worth while song on the new Gorillaz CD is the popular one.The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.Comment

I think the Gorillaz cd isnt to good the first time around, but after listening more and more it gets better. Its a little different, but its pretty damn catchy too. As for Coheed I sampled some of the songs and I cant get over his voice. Every song of theirs his voice is just so girly. Not sure how they were Mars Volta like, but thats just me.
EDIT: I relistened and can hear some Volta in the later tracks, but still no where near as good as the real thing.Comment

I just bought the new album, I also own their previous album "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3" I enjoy them both. I don't think anybody said that they sound like The Mars Volta, I don't really think they do, I think the reason TMV was brought up is because they attract the same listeners. I hear more traditional metal in Coheed's sound and more progressive Pink Floyd type sounds in The MArs Volta. Just my $0.02
