I feel for you on the sleep paralysis. My good friend used to have those. I cant imagine how it really must feel like.

It's messed up the things your own mind can do to you.

That sleep paralysis is fucked up! It's happened a couple times to me and freaked me the fuck out! Being awake in your head and not being able to control your body was pretty scary shit

Im not sure this is a similar thing but I sweat the black man attack when I go into the hood to get wings because Im a tender snowflake

Classical depiction of sleep paralysis. Your diaphragm is still in "sleep mode" so it feels like something is preventing you from breathing.

Used to get these as well as a kid, along with sleep walking.

Yep, every once in awhile I would wake up in the most awkward position and not be able to move. I'd have to concentrate really hard and slowly coax one muscle into contracting a la Kill Bill, then once that happened it all snapped back. But it takes a few minutes of concentration to get it to work.

I've heard from multiple sources that sleep paralysis is the effect of returning from astral projection or out of body experiences.

From what i've heard it's because of your sleeping position, you have bad blood circulation in your spine which severely effects your reactions.

The guys of the alien show on history channel? lol

It's pretty easy to explain, physiologically/neurologically.

I feel for you. Severe anxiety/panic attacks are something I've dealt with for ~10 years.

All of a sudden out of nowhere feeling/thinking your having a heart attack sucks.

Suffer from anxiety disorder as well. I have it pretty bad, too. Shit is not a good time. I've found that breathing and continuously telling yourself that you'll be okay helps.
