well i'm not a fan of dell but the deal isn't too bad. paid the same for my toshiba qosmio about 6 months ago. i just don't like dell but yes since it's media center and all if you like dells then it's pretty good deal. just buy the extended accidental protection plan for four years trust me.

It will be a desktop replacement (currently running an XP4000 with a gb of ram, DVD +- burner a zillion gbs of hdd) ok 800gb I am giving this machine (minus most of the HDDS) to my son for school and want a fast machine to replace it. I'll be going to the states for a few months so a lappy makes sense.

I am not a huge fan of Dell but this seems a great deal (price includes 4 years in home & accidental destruction coverage)
