I hate that Porsche. It looks like a bloated dead whale going down the freeway.

My dad likes the Panamera (I don't know why, I find it repulsive) but its out of his price range.
and to everyone who's dropped some advice, thanks a bunch. Passed everything to him.
Hopefully he'll find the right one by June, so I can get to "borrow" it after school ends :D :D :D

Panameras are badd ass. I think they look sweet espc the turbo. Not to mention it hauls ass. I would def take a Panamera over a maseratti, or jag.

5yrs from now every new car is going to have start/stop.

my dad went through this about three years ago. so it was early 09 when he picked up his 07 4S carrerra. thing is a beast! he got it for around 60k with just over 11k miles on it.

he's kept it all stock, DD drives it more than his taureg. he "says" he only had it up to 120, but the step mom was home when i asked and he gave me the wink, so im sure he's pushed it.

trying to get him to do a track day.

i've only been allowed in it twice. once two years ago christmas day, and then my birthday of that year....protective much lol

Sounds like your pops is a pretty cautious guy with the volvos and what not.... I doubt he would ever take the car to its limits on the road, so I really dont understand his need for the awd. He should test a few 2wd cars,,,, I bet he is thinking they still handle the way they did 25+ yrs ago.

My dad has had many porsche cars. The AWD is really not necessary unless you plan on snow driving. As others have said the 911 has serious traction. I drove my dads latest car (seen below) more than he did. You cannot go wrong with a 911, the 993 is nice but they are starting to come up in price, you can get a very nice 996 for very cheap as it is kinda the bastard child of the group.
