      I would say pick up an early vette shell and swap in an LS1/T56, or get an LT1 vette. Don't even bother w/ the L98/4+3 trans, they were awful.

      And be prepared for a rickety feel, they don't feel too tight and refined until you get into the C5s.

        Get a 95 or 96,they were obdII cars, and the optispark was improved.I had a 95 convertible and loved it,cowl shake wasnt too bad either with the x brace.

        The interior is cheap,never use the e-brake if you can help it,they eat tires and the stereo and gauges can go bad.

        There are tons of them for sale cheap,and most of them have been well cared for and have low miles,get the nicest low mile car you can.
        1990 325is "the rat"/ E30 Warsteiner tribute racecar/1985 325e "faded Glory"/ 1968 Chevy II Nova "the baby"/ 2001 525i 5spd purchased May 2013 with 16k miles. Plus other junk that annoys the neighbors.
