Get iOS 5.0.1 on your iPhone 4,3Gs,iPod Touch 4,3 or iPad

Download latest redsn0w (0.9.10b3)

Plug in iPhone

I regret updating to 5.0.1 and re jailbreaking it. My3g is still at 4.8.1 which means no free 3G.

Also, PDAnet is the shit. If you have unlimited data, there is a cheap way to get WIFI anywhere your phone is.

I am verizon based and have used/downloaded/abused my data plan with no issues yet. I have actually never heard of tetherme but if its anything like PDAnet, you should be good.

Neither TetherMe nor PDANet will protect against the carriers monitoring your tethering. The internet hops will tell them whether you have something extra connected to your phone if they bother to check.

iphone is useless without it, you pay for apps and have mant restrictions. jailbreak opens up the freedom the phone should have to beging with. installous allows you to intall free apps, you can download tweaks that bypass apple's restrictions. for example noaccessory splash which bypasses the white itunes screen on iphone ehen plugged in via usb to a headunit on a car. the screen doesnt allow you to choose songs or artists. once u learn to add sources and to use cydia you will not be able to go back to such shitty restrictions. it is an awesome phone when used correctly.

But it all is still mumbo jumbo to me. Im on a 2g iphone on tmobile but I don't pay for data. Just use wifi. Installous hasn't been working for me lately though. anyone else?
