    Shopping smart

Who else here does a ton of price research/online shopping to avoid spending more? I know going to the store at times is necessary for items such as groceries or stuff that you need right away, but for everything else i see no reason to pay extra. I just bought a wireless router and HDMI cable for $26 shipped from amazon, comparable stuff at best buy or walmart(with a 10% discount) would have been at least $50+.

Just saying, shop smart be patient save a lot.

    I know, i know....cool story bro.

I buy stuff at stores I like because I want to give them business, buying from some Chinese website to save $5 doesn't sit right with me.

I wouldn't call what you're doing smart, it's called being cheap.

Remember that time=money. Is the time you spend doing all that research costing you more than you're saving? Could you be doing something else with that time that will net you more money?

You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?

                        This logic is... retarded.

Maybe it's different in Canada, or maybe you don't get all kind of free shipping like we do in the states. I use Amazon prime (free for students) and I get free 2 day shipping.

If I see something in a store that I like, I will typically look it up on the spot with my phone and see how much cheaper I can get it for. If it's not a big loss, or I won't get slammed with taxes, I will get it in the store. If not, I will take 20 minutes shopping around and reading reviews.

It's not being cheap, it's being a smart consumer.

I buy most of my stuff online and i try to make sure that the seller is at least on the states. I don't have time during the week to drive around all over fuck.

Yeah, I kind of do this for most things except clothing.

Levi's take the portion of my closet for jeans, but I'd never pay MSRP ~$49 for a pair.
I always go to discount places for them which are almost always sub $30.
