    finally gonna kick it

Well after my grandfather called me last week he told me he was diagnosed with throat cancer last year. Fortunately, he also told me he had just recently beaten it and had kept it a secret from everone. With his news I fnally decided to kick cigarettes for good. I'm 22 and have been smoking for 8 years already, yeah that's right...started when I was 14. I'm on my fifth day now and my taste and smell has already come back and I can feel my lungs healing. Shit is making me cough ridiculously and I can taste the tar coming up. Any other smokers/ex- smokers, chewers/ex-chewers? How long has it been for you?

I used to smoke semi casually, I've since stopped; but still crave it sometimes. It can be tough for sure, I was never really addicted per se but even still I can understand how tough it can be.

After seeing what my Dad went through, I'll never touch one. Everyone I talk to who smokes wishes they didn't.

I wish I didn't. Hell I didn't do it to look cool, we had some weak ass pot and I wanted to get higher HA! After a couple more times I was hooked.

People still smoke? Ever since it was banned in restaurants in bars here, I just figured everyone quit.

I really can't tell if serious?

Ohio did that and I smoke so much when I drink. Damn that pissed me off.

I really don't know a single person that smokes. So the only time I see it is on the street and then when I smell it it's like a punch in the face and then I think "WTF? I can't believe someone is actually smoking."
Good luck to you man. My wife is a nurse. I hear the horror stories.

I hear smoking actually increases your mental sharpness and potency in the bedroom. Good trade off IMO.

Three years ago this February I quit. Happy I did, not so the days before or after. I fell off the wagon massively one night smoking a whole pack. I'm fine now.

Kind of. Blood pressure rises but after a while of smoking your health ultimately determines whether you get a boner. Ha. Bad health, bad performance. And the mental sharpnessis true but its very temporarily, and eventually...once again your health determines brain function so it'll hurt your performance in that department in the long run.

I smoked on an off for a couple years. Pretty much quit to encourage my GF to quit for New Years.

                              In short, quitting feelsgoodman!
