After I had surgery in Feb '08 (Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty, septoplasty with turbinate reduction, adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy all at once) my otolaryngologist pulled a (lets call it blockage) from each of my nostril that was equally as big as my ring finger in size and length. I told him that I thought he told me he was going to use any packing! He said he didn't, that it was a scab, snot, etc. My girlfriend (now wife) almost passed out. I almost threw up but had never breathed through my nose that well in my life before.
