Dogs VS Cats...what does R3V like?

Grew up with dogs all my life.
my fam. had two of these shithogs...over-energetic, and wired for sound at all times.
kept the family on our toes.
    Wemariners.

    BUT!!!!!!!

as I grew up, I found solace in a independant style of animal.

    Cats are fken badass.
Saunter around the house like they own the place, they don't stink up your home, and they march to the beat of their own drum. like me.

    so vote for cats here.

if this is a repost of somesort, I extend my sincerest appologies, and render the thread closed.

I prefer cats, there quiet, needs not be walked, or let out, they dont slobber, dosent come charging into a room and knocking over stuff.

Cats are better, long haired especially. But I fucking hate cat hair being on all my clothes/chairs.

          No pets for me.

Dogs are great but fuck picking up shit every few hours. Cats take care of themselves (for the most part).

My cat was hungry and balding, flea-ridden. Roaming the street in the hood. Now he's got three solid inches of fur and sleeps on my pillow. Also, he looks like Wilford Brimley.

^This. I had one for about 1.5 yrs, then one night it went batshit insane on my GF(now wife) and I. Chased us in the bathroom, had to wing the focker out, got scratched to hell. Banged against the door for minute or so, I had to climb out of the window wearing my wife's bathrobe and get the Landlord to call the cops. Put it in a dog carrier and went to an all-night Vet. It freaked out on him but we had already decided to put the little waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles down. He said he wanted to remove the head and send it to a Rabies center for testing. We got a call a few months later saying that everything was 'normal'.

I've got two cats. I let them out, and in, and out, and in the house. They do not use a litter box, they eat small, field dwelling creatures, and they do not pester me.

                BUT.

I want a German Shepherd or GS/Malamute mix.

                That is all.

Cats are where its at. They are independent, if they don't like you they will let you know, or just not show themselves. Sometimes they will try and teach you to hunt by bringing you presents in the form of what ever they have caught (often leaving them somewhere you are sure to find them, even if you don't want their offerings.) They tend to pretty quiet (not always, but for the most part) The don't bark at anything and everything (there are few things more annoying than a barking dog, except for a car alarm perhaps.) Yes cats make noise, and sometimes they are irritating, but the volume is much less. They also won't eat your shoes, your carpet, destroy the back yard, the furniture, ect. Sure you have to clean up after them, but for the most part, assuming they are indoor/outdoor cats, they will go outside to use the facilities, and when they are done, they will cover it up and not leave a giant pile for you to step in.

The also don't make the house stink (assuming the litter box is kept clean). I can always tell if someone has a dog the moment I walk into the house because it smells like a dog. People with cats, not so much.

Cat, but only because my wife wanted one.

                      Dogs require too much care.

I was single, there would be no animals in my house.

The only cats people like are the ones that act like dogs. Fact.

I grew up with a deaf cat and a 70lb German Shepard haha. I like them both but I've become allergic to cats sine ours passed away about 2 years ago so It's a tough call for me.
But currently we've got a German Shepard, we adopted him after his drug dealer owner got sent to prison lol (German Shepard rescue service I think). When we got him he was over 100lbs and the calmest dog I've ever seen, pretty sure the drug dealer had something to do with it ha. Hes down to a healthy 75lbs or so and still calm as hell.

Wow r3v is full of lazy fuckers.

The way a dog acts is full indicative of how the owner treats it.
