I see two ways to deal with this..
1. Forget about the girl and the "best friend" Whatever happened was not sudden, they had been thinking about this shit for a while. Proceed to conquer tons of women in the greater SLO area until she's a distant memory.

2.Find a girl the "bestfriend" has been trying to bang for ages. Proceed to fuck said girl thoroughly and take pics/video. Push the limits and get her to do the craziest shit she's ever done. Set him up with her afterwards and once he is in love with her show him the pics and video, preferably at a screening with several of your friends. This seems extreme, yes. However if you are going to get him back you might as well do it right.
