Idk about transvestite hookers but there is no reason to stop doing coke. That's why it was left off the list. :giggle:

My grandmother passed on the 7th of December. I was using anything I could find and drinking excessively, sub-consciously trying to commit suicide. Every time I came to, I would say to myself that I didn't do enough, so I would go get more of whatever I could and do as much as I could get a hold of. We held a service for her in Roseburg the following week-end of her death. New years day, early morning, I came to face down in a puddle of vodka. I had no idea where I was or how I got there. I blacked out somewhere around 10 o'clock new years eve. That was rock bottom for me. I decide to clean my self up at that point. I continued to use meth and smoke weed until the 12th of January. We held another service for her here in Springfield on the 14th of Jan, she had lived here for 30+ years before moving to Roseburg. When the father of her church here got done speaking I went up to her remains, got down on my knees and made a promise to her the to the best of my ability i would never drink or use ever again. Then I asked for guidance in my recovery.

I have been going to NA and AA meetings at least twice a day since. I am still de-toxing off all the shit I was using. My sleep pattern and mood is all kinds of sideways right now. I have been clean for 21 days now. As shitty as I feel right now, I feel so much better, physically and mentally. These poor me, 12 step freak circle jerk meetings are the last place I ever pictured myself being involved in. But they have literally saved my life. I was on the edge of overdose when I stopped using.

I am an addict. I must abstaine from all drugs to recover from this terrible disease. I now have this wonderful network of positive support I get from these groups of people I meet with daily. I hope that some day I can help another addict in their recovery going through what I am going though now.

              One day at a time.
              -Andy

I am sorry to hear about your grandma and the unfortunate events that followed but good for you for getting clean dude. I have never used and don't even begin to claim I know how hard it is to get off of that shit but I can believe how much shit you must be going through and wish you the best of luck. Stay clean and stay alive there is too many good things to live for and 10 years from now you will probably look back and be grateful things worked out the way they did and that none of those binges had enough to do you in. Life can be awesome, just try to keep your head above water.

Staying clean is the best thing you can do for the rest of your life, no matter how tough shit gets. good for you, man. I'm glad you were able to admit your faults instead of using them for excuses.

Keep up the good work man! I have been in recovery from drug/alcohol addiction since 2003. Currently have 2 and half years totally clean. Life gets better and eventually you won't even think about it anymore... It saved my life man straight up I was in prison, homeless you name it now I have family back in my life my own business and life is pretty good. So change can happen but you gotta work for it just like anything else. Don't let people bring you down. If you feel like your gonna use call someone sober and go to a meeting. I have seen too many people die from this shit. I hope you stay on the right track and keep doing the next right thing... Hit me up if you need anything.
