    I need r3v opinions and critique

    Basically I would like to supplement my income. Not to make me a millionaire or anything but basically put a few bucks in my pocket here and there.

    I have a resource that would allow me to make custom metal work, specifically keychains.

    I would love your thoughts on this and ideas on possible designs;

    I figured the basic keychains that would say;

    e30
    S5x'd
    2.7i

    I know it's hard to help without pics and stuff but I just wanted to see if people are will to purchase such things. I have other ideas floating around but id like to start with keychains.

    Just a young man tryna make some extra moolah :)

    I will be making a meeting with my metal shop to see what costs are and then maybe do a mock up and provie a ball park price sometime next week.
    SO MUCH MORE TO DO!!

      Honestly, my real thought is do something to advance yourself so you can make the money you want working only 40 hours a week.

        Currently I have a stable career and it is paying my bills although its not what I actually want to be doing and not what I am going to school for.

        I work in the IT field and although its good and dandy and provides me with what I need and pretty much that's all it provides. I would like to find another source of income (not looking for a strike it rich type deal just extra cash to put into the car and whatnot) in a field that I would much rather be doing. Business with a pinch of art involved. I feel this would help me accomplish my future goal of entrepreneurship. So in a sense this something that would advance myself so I can make the money I want working 40hrs a week. ;)

          goddammit, I clicked on that and needed task manager to make it go away.

          no cool kids found.

          OP, I understand exactly what you want to accomplish, and applaud your efforts.
          I think E30 specific key chains are probably going to be a VERY small market for you, expand your scope, and try to apeal to a larger demographic, say Car enthusiasts, instead of just e30 enthusiasts. not saying "Don't do e30 stuff" just saying don't ONLY do e30 stuff.

            I do car work on the side to pay off my parts bill at work.

            I also just got a lift and work space at home.

            I am still broke.

              Totally understand :) Im most familiar with the e30 scene at the moment since I spend almost everyday checking this site. Thought this would be the best testing grounds for how to create these custom pieces. R3v is my guinea pig hehe.

              I was thinking of making tiny m20, m30 etc valve cover keychains and euro grill + smilies keychain.

              Well I am going to try this out and see what the response would be :)

                      How much time are you going to spend on that vs, doing front brakes or control arms for random can't wrench da bimmer person? I can't see you making more than $10 each profit after material and shipping, your net profit IS your rate of pay and it looks ~$10-15hr if your proficient.
                      It makes more sense to wrench on the side and litter your house with multiple vehicles like the chz does.

                      Now if you have access to a CNC that's different..................

                        This is what I do. Straight cash, plus I work in parts so I get a discount I pass on to friends/family as long as I'm doing the work.
