I really hope there's a 6th stage, because my favorite part of the show was when takumi went from doing stuff with the speed stars to joining project D, there was a lot of fresh character development where he realized his dream and came to grips with his skills while still dealing with going separate his love interest. I like that kind of stuff, so when they spent a ton of time on one arc that was pretty decent but just kind of "out-of-left-field" that's why I'm iffy on it.

still a good series but those are my thoughts on it. Rumour is is that there won't be a 6th series either :-(

It has been confirmed there will be a Final Stage, so no worries. It sounds like you might like Bakuman if you haven't already seen it. I liked it a lot. I read the manga first but there is almost nothing different between the manga and anime. The same with BECK Mongolian Chop Squad. The anime only covers I think 8 volumes of the manga. The manga is complete ended on volume 30 something. But is also a very good one.

You read Capeta and watched the anime so you could do the same kind of combo and check it out. Slice of life stories. Bakuman is about a kid pursuing his dream to draw an anime and marry the girl of his dreams. BECK is about a kid trying to find out what to do with his life and meeting a band and starting an adventure. Both stories encompass 4 or 5 years from beginning to end. Some more of my top recommendations.

Finally, I think I mentioned it 3 times with no feedback. I was surprised because it is so good. I watched CHAOS/HEAD afterwards because there was mention of it is Steins Gate. And the when Robotic Notes came out I watched that too, since they are all supposed to be connected. But I noticed very few things other than names and places that there was in common. They were all fairly good but Steins Gate was incomparably better.

I am adding C control to my list, thanks. The think about all of these anime is that something out of left field happens in all of them. That is what makes them good, in my opinion. But the turning point in Steins gate blew me away, I was like "no that did not just happen, holy #$%@". And then more and more craziness afterwards. Awesome, I am going to have to watch it again some time soon. The ending was perfect.

Kurozuka has past and future, fairly good plot. Good characters. I liked the art. It is kind of dark, something to read a review about before you watch it.

Guilty Crown, I really got into. Different abilities can be drawn out of each person, each ability is supposed to be a reflection of their heart.

I haven't watched attack on titan. But it reminded me of Claymore, swords, blood and monsters.

All the anime you listed are different money, to different dimensions, to giants to kids stuck in a video game. The only thing I see in common is that is all fiction and they are all good anime. If you give me a more accurate description of what you are looking for I might be of better help.

A long anime with a story that is really good and constantly making you guess is Monster.

And if you want an anime that is kind of a stand alone almost every episode. That is out there but really good check Mushishi. Actually if you haven't seen Mushishi yet watch that first it is one I highly recommend.

Dude, Mushishi is an amazing show. Super artistic and surreal.

Yeah I couldn't believe they never made another series of Mushishi. It was one of those, "I guess I will watch this anime" and was blown away. I tell most anime fans about it. It is a must. Each character and story is amazing. Now I am going to have to watch it again. Lol.

Thatphysicsguy: I liked "BECK" a lot more than "Bakuman", just saying incase you are trying to decide which one to watch. After you watch BECK you might get into music anime. "Detroit Metal City" is hilarious. "Nana" has a good story. "Nodome Cantible" slice of life/drama, it is good too. Alright I won't give any more recommendations unless asked. These are the last ones, I swear. Lol.

It will already take me at least a year to get through the list I already have, so I'll comeback for more when I'm finished, lol.
