ever hear of picking your battles? You are wrong, society has widely accepted values and one of them is dont wear shirts to class that say "fuck".

How about you go protest something more important, like saving the white horned rhino from pochers, not "oh I need to dress to offend".

Damn OP is "dumb as fuck"

...see what I did there :)

Didn't have to. If you learn from it and stop being a faggy douche you'll be fine, I'm sure. Or, carry on. Like everyone else on this rock, why the fuck should we care that you think you're fresh as fuck?

Dozy, that didn't even make sense. That whole "no one can say what anything really is" is stating exactly what you think "it" really is and contradicting your very own idealism(s).

Its a small world, don't be so arrogant. Ever wonder what your prof would say if someone asked him how you are as a student? I'm sure you'll say its a big class and he doesn't know you and all that bs but remember, you were the guy wearing the shirt that says fuck. He knows you now and won't forget.

You can act tough and all that but most of the people here are people who will be interviewing you when you graduate. I graduated 2 years ago and got a healthy dose of reality fairly quick.

    You get the fuck on

Its your ridiculous attitude toward these things that will lead to you not being successful.

So lets go through the start. How has it become to be that FUCK is offensive?

    Definition: fuck

    Verb:
    Have sexual intercourse with (someone).
    Noun:
    An act of sexual intercourse.

Okay so fuck has definitely evolved to something further beyond just that definition, but all we know is that its vulgar. Since the word in itself is just an empty shell of itself, due to how it's used, then there is no concrete meaning and therefore no need to just limit it to vulgar use. Hell I could yell at some one, "YOU LOOK REALLY GOOD IN THAT DRESS" but that could still mean something negative by it's connotation/use in that situation.

If you can follow me from so far than you can keep on reading. The words 'manners' and 'social etiquette' have been brought up. I think this is the weakest argument only because, once again, there is no universal agreement on such general ideas. Ex) One culture can identify burping after a meal can as proper manners while the other doesn't. Manners and etiquette are TAUGHT to us, not derived from nature, so it is all based on perception; or to simplify it, something that we are always changing on a fluid basis. Ex) A single black person was once thought to equal less than one white person. Boy what a change that has been. People set standards but those standards change with conventional wisdom! Yet there is no science behind that besides its explanation which we can thank mob mentality for.

These are just on the top of the head examples so don't read too far into them but hopefully you get my point. I like abiding by 'do to others what I want done to me'. It's simple and vague yet it covers all the 'etiquette' I need to follow. His shirt wasn't aimed at anybody and honestly it has no meaning so why fret? If he want's to work for some one else, then yes he needs to abide by their wishes because they are paying him, but this isn't the case. Blindly doing as your told by 'the man' or society is more dangerous than any possible form of personal expression through clothing. It's how governments control you and it's how real progression of the human race becomes stagnant.

this thread sucks. those in support of the shirt, I encourage you to look back on this thread in 6 years when your security blanket is lifted, your health insurance dries up and you stop sucking on mommy's teet.

Life is a bitch. take some responsibility for yourself, and have consideration for others.

More than anything else, stop thinking the fucking world owes you something. Noone cares about you.

People use the word fuck all the time. I'm sure that professor has used it himself. It's a college classroom with mostly mature adults, I don't see why it should be censored just because it's on a shirt.

There is a giant societal funnel into which our perceived realities get drained into. It's something that people do without thinking and that's okay. The real art though is being able to stand on the side of the funnel and to be able to walk away from it. That holds true to whatever beliefs or religion man holds dear to them. Humans are not dogs so indeed we can learn new tricks.

    edit: bro fist.
