    Well real parenting is not dead

    Ahhhh this may have been a little on the harsh/extreme side of things but............. Seems that there are still some real parents out there.

    Only in TX though.

      If you have an issue with something, shoot it with your gun! I really respect that he's disappointed with his daughter and cares so much, but that's not the correct way to handle it. Nevertheless, it's entertaining.

                                          How is this too far? Daughter essentially talks shit about her parents online, conventional punishment probably does very little to affect her so hit her where it hurts... embarrass her in front of her friends. I bet it worked and that she won't be doing that again, he didn't have to treat her unfairly or hit her...I say it was handled very well. Oh, and it entertained us, two bonus points awarded.

                                              Its only too far because he just wasted ammo and a computer, you know his daughter is never going to pay him back for. He'll calm down in 2 days and realize his anger towards his daughter could of been better used.

                                                  I agree with Cale in that you do have to find the child's 'currency' and use that for their punishment, but public embarrassment is bound to have some sort of psychological repercussions on a pubescent child.
