Daughter essentially talks shit about her parents online, conventional punishment probably does very little to affect her so hit her where it hurts... embarrass her in front of her friends. I bet it worked and that she won't be doing that again, he didn't have to treat her unfairly or hit her...I say it was handled very well. Oh, and it entertained us, two bonus points awarded.

I actually agree with you on this. Though in this kinda situation I am not really sure I would have taken a 45 to my kids lap top. Not to say I would not have been tempted though, I think I would have used a 12 ga. with a couple of slugs and couple of 00 buck if I decided to go this route.

But my kids list of responsibilities would have increased massively, and ALL electronics, and anything fun would be gone for a very long time and would have to be earned back, and in very small increments

And oh my gentle Jesus, making coffee has got to be the single most grueling job you can possibly make a kid do. They probably have a fucking Keurig like the rest of the world.

Kids these days have no discipline, this is coming from a 22yr old. Honestly, I was raised by a pretty strict set of parents. I received spankings when I was young and it did not affect me mentally as a grown up. I am a productive member of society that has no ill will for the punishments I received as a child. Im glad there are parents out there like this guy, Im sure he wished he couldve raised his daughter in a spanking is allowed society to teach her from back talking her parents and acting like a spoiled brat.

Eh... Spanking is overrated. Our kids get punishment, but i'd never hit them. No need - they're well behaved because we set rules and stick to them. Kids love consistency.. My 2 year old is chilling quietly on the couch with me as i type.
