When I posted this, I kinda figured most would have thought it was way outta line and barbaric way to deal with a pubescent teenage female.

The general consensuses, seems to be a Good for him, and this was a good form of punishment for the ungrateful little twit.

Mostly entertaining. Overall the father acted just as childish as the daughter.

He was pretty pissed and rightfully so, making the video was probably pretty effective overall.

I wish he would have opened the computer to look at the damage.

Most .45s just don't hold enough rounds to give proper satisfaction when emptying a clip in dramatic fashion. If he had six more he could have made his point that much better.

I get it. For what it's worth, I thought he could have been more entertaining.

Good: Who doesn't like to blast stuff with a 1911.

Bad: Waste of resources and reinforcement of bad gun-owner stereotypes.

Safety was engaged until the very moment of firing it.

Hammer was in a lowered position as well until the time of firing

carried in a proper holster not shoved in the waste band of his 4 sizes too big pants


Fired in a safe manner, into a solid back stop.

a 45 is an efficient means to both destroy a lap top, and convey a serious message

I fail to see a bad gun owner in this man form the evidence provide by the vid.

I really wasn't talking about his technique, I was referring to the waste of a laptop. It's a small thing, but it is wasteful, and (mildly) offensive to me. I try to point out hoplophobic behavior when I encounter it, so I feel obligated to also decry irrational behavior on our side too. It's a minor point, I still love ya.

I applaud him. I gaurentee she doesn't do it again. If that was me, I would have dumped 30 rounds through my M4. You don't bite the hand that feeds you, respect your fucking parents. They aren't required to provide those luxuries such as laptops, cell phones, etc. so hey, put a .45 through it if you want. The new generation has no respect for their parents because the parents are too waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles to lay down the law. I would have gotten a coat hanger to the face and my computer thrown out the window had that been me.
