    Official reptile/exotic thread

The other 2 looked like they sucked. If mods don't like this, I guess it will get deleted.

My fiance has wanted pets of her own for a while, we live with my mom in a small half-double and already have 2 dogs and 1 cat (pitbull, sheltie and some cat from hell) so we couldn't get another dog or cat. So one day we brought the pit to the pet store for some random reason and she saw these Leopard geckos. So we bought 2 of them, then we went to another pet store to get some advice from a Leopard Gecko breeder and while we were there, there was a Leopard Gecko all by herself in a cage. My fiance felt terrible it was alone so we bought that one as well. Total of 3 so far. then we went to a reptile show in Hamburg, PA on Saturday because she wanted a specific morph of leopard gecko known as the Mack Snow. We went there and found one, bought it and while looking around at other stuff (there were hundreds of snakes, pretty boring seeing the same snake over and over) and I saw this gecko I really liked so I bought that one too. So now we have a total of 5 in a 30x12x12 tank. 3 females and 2 are unknown because they are too young to tell. Currently in the process of building a 36"longx15"deepx12"high. All I have a picture of are the new ones.

Mine is on the left, her name is Perry, the one on the right is my fiance's, her name is Pebbles. The other 3s names are Littlefoot, Petrie, and Ducky, Littlefoot is mine, Petrie is my fiance's and Ducky is the one my fiance "saved" from forever alone'ness at the pet store. Ducky is suicidal, she likes to jump out of your hands to a 5 foot drop to the floor.

Leopard Geckos rock. Those two look good. I'm a big fan of Super Snows, but I don't have any. Ive got a pair of Trempers and a normal.

I'll play, spot bookmarked. I've been keeping and breeding reptiles (snakes mostly) for well over 15 years.

      Leopard Geckos

      Boas

      Blood Pythons

      And my Fly River turtle

Did you make it all the way to the end? Would you believe this isn't even a third of the stuff....lol

Most people think the wife and I are crazy, but this is what we love to do and we are good at it!!!!

If you can appreciate your reptiles a little on the larger size...

This was our Salvator monitor, also had large 4' Savannah monitors, 5' green Iguana, 3' spiney tail Iguana, 6' red tail boa, a pair of 9' plytons, turtles...

        The day we got him

When he had run of the house (snack time)

        In the dog run

Interesting thread. I've never held a snake but they freak me out and I've always wanted to try. They seem like hard animals to read and are so foeign to anything i've every held. Awesome pictures.

And giantkeeper, is this a full time job or part time hobby to breed them? What do you sell snakes for if you don't mind me asking.

It's a business that expanded from a pretty serious hobby. As of right now, it is part time at best. The wife and I both hold full time professional positions at the moment.

Our breeding season is in full swing, so we will go from 35 snakes to 75-100 snakes over the next 6 months. At that point it becomes significantly more time consuming

We work specifically with Blood Pythons (Python Curtus Brongersmai to be exact) at the moment. Normal's go for about $150, and some of our morph stuff that I posted will sell for $2-15k each as babies.
