    I completely agree!

So nervous about droppin em, not supportin the head, if they start cryin, or puke on me.

but I held my niece a few times now, shes almost a month old, and I think I did ok!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that fears holding babies.

LOL at everyone that fears baby droppage

it happens, just pick them up and hope no permanent damage was done.

on a srs note, on the same boat with the huge family, I have been holding babies since I was 11

I'm not even comfortable being in the proximity of a baby.

This. I have very few 'close' relatives, thus never had any babies/kids around.

I was afraid as well, until I had my own. Its been 3 months, no droppage even when she has pooped, peed and puked on me. Once its yours you will get used to it....fatherly instinct or something, if that instinct doesnt kick in get a paternity test, its not yours!

I'll try this method next time, kinda like shaking a car on a lift before you go under it.....

LOL the old "knee heave" and watch how much the car shifts or creaks.

it's also how I test mattresses at Sears.
