    What is this worth?

I know it might not be the easiest to evaluate with just pictures, but my friend is interested in this car. I think it is a little expensive.

Tell him you'll give him all of his asking price and by all you mean 80% of the price.

        That's not the question.
The question is can a stock 325i really be worth that much.
And its not really a "new e30". Even then a new e30 can only be worth so much

              those bottles are CAPPED.

also, putting a cover over your dash doesn't make your dash uncracked.

asking $7K for an M20 car with caps and a cracked dash is a little heavy.

              $4200 tops.

If the car is clean and he has proof things were done right, that doesn't seem like a bad price. Remember, a new paint job is $3k easy, an engine rebuild is $1500 easy, and suspension, well, the sky is the limit. I'd say go look at it, drive it, and if everything checks out, offer $7K and see what happens.

I'd go over the repaint with a fine-toothed comb. If the new paint is good work, I don't think $7500 is unreasonable.

I'd inquire more about the rebuild though. Rings? Bearings? I'd also ask about the transmission rebuild. I'd want to see receipts for all of it too.

Everybody on here with a NICE e30 (less than 20% of the members), has dumped AT LEAST $7500 into it. Finding an example that needs only a little tweaking is work paying a premium to me.

ken beat me to it. and a good paint job means no overspray on the trim, or radiator, no excessive pimples, very little orange peel, etc. receipts! spraying the intake manifold and valve cover and saying the engine has been rebuilt is one thing. having all the receipts and proof the work was done is another thing.

                          nice post dude.
